Carol Storms' whimsical beaded earrings are crafted by sewing each tiny bead to its neighbors, one at a time. For many years she made all the beadwork herself. She then met a Thai woman whose village had suffered extreme rains that destroyed the rice harvest two years in a row, and who was looking for work for villagers whose need was great. Carol now employs these Thai villagers as beaders for her intricate and popular earrings.
