The Brooklyn Women’s Exchange, founded in 1854, is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run shop, supporting independent craftspeople from Brooklyn and beyond. Of every dollar spent on a handcrafted item, 70 cents goes directly to the crafter.

We specialize in:
• Fine handmade infant and children's clothing: smocked dresses, hand-knit sweaters, hats, and baby blankets

•Handmade dolls, stuffed animals, wooden toys and puzzles

•Quilts, pillows, purses, place mats, napkins, and table runners

•Soaps, skin cremes and sachets

•Greeting cards, books, jewelry, candles, and ceramics

•Brooklyn-related books, clothing, cards, and art

•Special orders for clothing and personalized gifts
